Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire

A musical performance takes place on a wooden stage built around trees. Performers in Renaissance-era clothing sing and play instruments like guitars and drums.

A colorful mix of pageantry, theater, music, and unapologetic historical nonsense, the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire transforms the grounds of Mount Hope Estate in Manheim into a lively 16th-century village. This gallery captures the costumed performers, jousting, street characters, musicians, artisans, and wonderfully eccentric visitors who make the Faire such a rich place to photograph.
